Nearly three months after the announcement made by Tadog21, the remodel on the Tadog Mercantile Shop has finally been completed! After a few weeks of preparing for the Tadog Mercantile remodel, the new architectural designs were drawn and approved, a major roadblock had hit the remodel project, and is what took the project so long to start, and even complete the build.

Thanks to a donation by Soulter, the Tadog Historical Society had shut down the shop remodel project. The Tadog Historical Society, a non-profit organization within the Tadog Corporation, had always been a small organization that helped to preserve and regulate the development of historical structures and lands. The group had been trying for months to stop the remodel project, but they did not simply have the power. After getting a large donation from Soulter, the organization finally had the power to put the brakes to the Tadog Mercantile Remodel, and rejected the planned remodel design. Without the donation from Soulter, the project would have commenced sooner, and brought more of a better look to the Tadog Mercantile. It is rumored that Soulter has a secret drug den underneath the End Shop. And that by giving the donation to allow more power for the Tadog Historical Society to stop any projects on the End Shop. Some others have theorized that Soulter is doing this in attempt to undermine the Tadog Mercantile, in attempt to better promote his own shops and their franchises. When Soulter was approached by the Piper’s own Mike Hock, Soulter ran away through a Nether Portal as seen in the image below. Soulter has not been able to be reached yet for a comment.

However, the Tadog Corporation has decided to work with the Historical Society instead of fighting them. After a few months of deliberations between the two organizations, final architectural drawings were made and approved that made both parties happy. As a service of gratitude, the Tadog Mercantile with the Tadog Daily Piper, have generously donated funds to allow the Tadog Historical Society to create a historical building and area registry, which will be launched soon.

After nearly 6 days of construction, the Tadog Mercantile has finally been remodeled, with shopkeepers stocked, and a new look. The shop itself has expanded in both floorspace, shopkeeper space, and more items to trade.

In an interview with the Tadog Mercantile Store manager, Saunterblugget Hampterfuppinshire, Hampterfuppinshire believes these changes will not only improve customer experience, but overall profits for the store, “A lot of these shops are self sustaining, which means that people will no longer have to wait for items to be restocked as much.” Adding, “The expanded floorplan and overall change in the shopping experience we believe will help to draw more customers, while also allowing existing customers who shop with us to better find what they are looking for.” While many of the prices have not changed said Mr. Hampterfuppinshire, the newly gained profits from the remodel may lead to lower prices.

Also at the front of the shop, is a new store directory that lists every shopkeeper and item sold in the shop. The directory is organized in three separate ways, to help with accessibility at all angles. The directory organizes each item and shopkeeper by their location within the shop, it also organizes them by their theme such as nether items and farms. Lastly, and the end of the directory , each shop and item is organized in alphabetical order. The shop directory will be available for purchase soon. For now, you can view a copy at the front door of the Tadog Mercantile.

For the first few weeks, according to Mr. Hampterfuppinshire, the shop may have some issues to work out. Since the shop has a new setup, management has been trained to deal with the new setup. However, aster nearly 3 years of the same setup, it will take some getting used to. Mr. Hampterfuppinshire asks that customers please bear with the management, however they plan to have no issues.

As always, says Mr. Hampterfuppinshire, the Tadog Mercantile satellite location at the Octamall is open, and is the same format as before the remodel of the main location. A remodel for the Octamall location is planned to be soon, however the owner of the Octamall, Octapoo, is planning a remodel of his own that has not yet been announced. For now, the Octamall location will remain the same for awhile.
